Johannes Baumgart was a postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems in the group of Frank Jülicher. A mechanical engineer by training, my interests lie at the interface of physics and biology. I worked mainly on the mechanics of the mitotic spindle in collaboration with experimentalists. In particular, we worked on the question: what sets the size and shape of the spindle? You are invited to learn more about my work, my research topics, and about me.
